Melanie Trent is Atypical and Dr. Bright's third patient. She is a scientist who works on archeological dig sites around the world. Melanie is also a lesbian.
She has the ability of weather manipulation that is connected to her emotions. She struggles to control her ability.
In order to help Melanie escape atypical research organizations that were following her, Dr. Bright ordered Melanie to take a trip up north (i.e Alaska or Greenland) to let out her emotions without the threat of anyone noticing the sudden shift in weather.
